The LIGO Discovery Team
<p>The LIGO discovery team consists of the approximately 1000 scientists who are co-authors on the technical paper that announced the discovery of gravitational waves. Most of them are members of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, the group within the LIGO project that is responsible for organizing, coordinating and carrying out LIGO’s technical and scientific research and data analysis.
