2014 Gruber Cosmology Prize & Conference

The 2014 Gruber Cosmology Prize will be presented to

Jaan Einasto, Kenneth Freeman, R. Brent Tully & Sidney van den Bergh

 for their pioneering contributions to the understanding of the structure and composition of the nearby Universe.
The Prize Ceremony
 will be followed by the Gruber Lecture by the recipients: “Cosmology Up Close”

October 1, 4:00-5:15 pm, Greenberg Conference Center, 391 Prospect St, New Haven

In celebration of the prize, The Gruber Foundation and the Yale Departments of Astronomy and Physics will host a one-day conference on Thursday, October 2 at Yale, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The conferene will take place at the Yale School of Management, Evans Hall Room 4410.

"Cosmology on Scales Small and Large" will have the goal of discussing challenges and future directions in cosmology.
