Leslie Ungerleider
Leslie Ungerleider is Chief of the Laboratory of Brain and Cognition at the National Institute of Mental Health.
She has worked at NIMH since 1980 and was a postdoctoral fellow there in the late 1970s. Prior to that, she was postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University after earning her doctorate in experimental psychology at New York University.
An NIH Distinguished Investigator; she was elected to the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine and The American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She received the Women in Neuroscience Lifetime Achievement Award and has earned honors from the Cognitive Neuroscience Society and the Association for Psychological Science.
She is a fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Psychological Association and Association for Psychological Science.
