Linda Tacconi

Linda Tacconi is a senior scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics. She works with millimetre and submillimetre interferometry as well as infrared high resolution imaging spectroscopy to find out more about galaxies, the black holes at their centers and star formation. She holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She worked at the Netherlands Foundation for Research in Astronomy, Dwingeloo and then went to the MPE in 1991. She is an active member of the International Astronomical Union and currently serving as a member of the ESO Council, the ALMA Board, and the IRAM Scientific Advisory Committee.
